Current status

SEASON 9 in progress, 10 to 20 players racing in a one-division league

The Toca 2 IP league, playing on Wednesday nights is now into its 9th season We meet at 21-30 UK time (GMT in winter, BST in summer). We meet in the QuakeNet  IRC channel which we call #Toca2 (see below for how to set up and join the IRC channel).

How to join

If you would like to join you can just turn up at the appropriate time in either the Pit Lane chat room or the IRC channel (see Joining instructions for channel details and how to set up IRC). It would help if you could send your details (racing name, email address and brief computer details) to me at [email protected]. The contact details allow us to let you know if we expect any problems on a race night (e.g. if racing is cancelled or delayed for any reason) or to include you in enquiries about preferred future race formats etc. The computer details are only used to identify good race hosts so if you have a high spec machine and fast connection let us know, otherwise just say low spec.

Please only join if you are able to commit to racing regularly. Racing is much better if there are a good number of drivers in each race. Dropouts tend to spoil this (although obviously no-one can make it every tourney and I know I will miss some myself due to work commitments).

Where to look for more details

Further details are in the following links. Tourney formats and rules are in the League Details page, race dates for next season are in the Season and Next Race page, current players are listed on the League Players page, details of the current league positions and the last race results are on the Last Race and League Tables page

Other leagues

Like online racing? Can't make it on Wednesdays or want more online action? Try the Monday night Official Wireplay TOCA2 TTCC League run by Dr Remus (http://www.toca2000.fsnet.co.uk/). It meets at 21-00 in Wireplay and offers standard head-to head racing for new entrants plus the chance to try team racing if you win promotion to a higher league. Its great fun.  Try it. (As well as out league, not instead!!)
